These sessions are:
- Hands-on – Learn practical joinery and woodworking skills. Impress your friends and enemies – earn bragging rights by mastering the Holy Grail of Western Woodwork – The Dovetail Joint! Learn about some basic principles that are fundamental to all joinery work, including learning to correctly mark out and cut your joinery. You will also learn about the dovetail’s application, so you can transfer what you’ve learnt to other projects at home.
- Demystifying – We are taking the mystery out of dovetail joints and you will learn how to easily and accurately mark out your dovetails and pins.
- Inspiring – Discover a new passion and learn the skills to help you be able to carry on making beautiful things from wood at home!
This course is for you if you are a confident beginner or if you already have a little experience with chisel work.
We will be working with local hardwoods, mainly ash and oak.
All materials are included.
Age: 16 years+
Level: Intermediate, confident beginner.
Our 2 Day Carpentry Skills – Course for Women is an ideal course to do, if you’d like to get a little more familiar with using a chisel first.
